This is so inspiring - thank you for sharing! I really love these "everyday" cooking insights. I find myself getting caught up in Pinterest, meal prepping (not a trigger for me, but still a lot of work) and a general lack of inspiration when I need to get something to eat "now." You may be one of the few (only?) chefs/cooks who actually shows me how to use what I have on hand to make something satisfying and delicious. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This non-recipe recipe is so good and in constant rotation at my house, too. A good toaster oven is a magical thing. And thanks for putting into print what I am always afraid to say: yes, you can cook fish from frozen just fine <3
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a great resource for sustainable options: https://www.seafoodwatch.org — I consult their website all of the time. This fish I used in the photos was cod!
Hey ! I did a little riff on this myself. Saturday night I quickly cooked a couple of frozen salmon fillets and then made a spicy noodle dish with zucchini noodles, garlic, red pepper flakes, and brocillini. On Saturday night I ate one of the salmon pieces and the noodle stuff with some cheese on top. Yummy. Last night I reheated the leftover noodle stuff and other piece of salmon. Even better than the first night. Frozen fish is perfect for so many uses.
Yep I opted for that this time but the air fryer also works beautifully — sometimes I try to give my toaster oven some love too since I neglect it so much these days because of my air fryer lol
Hi Julia- I’ve fallen off the cooking wagon lately and just started reading this post. I don’t even like fish but I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how comforting these posts are! Thank you!!

im so glad <3
Are the times and temperatures the same in the air fryer?
I would do same temp, but check a little sooner as things tend to move more quickly in an air fryer...
Thank you!! I absolutely adore you and your newsletter btw!!!!
So sweet! Thank you!

Toaster oven, not the air fryer?
