Made me smile to hear you went to Dave's Hot Chicken in LA. Next time, try the NOT hot chicken -- the fried cauliflower. It's a must whenever we go to Dave's now. Would love to hear your take. Thank you!
I’m making the Swedish meatballs tomorrow from your book, to get my family in the mood for our upcoming trip to Stockholm. Should I follow your recipe for the sauce or improvise as you mentioned in this newsletter? Which is best? 🤷🏻♀️
A pull up! WOW! My strength goal is one smooth push up. I have realized recently from some PT and tennis lessons (omg tennis is so fun!) that my arms are truly wonky and it may be why push ups are a struggle but I won’t stop.
I have so many thoughts around strength training and I feel like this would be a great beer and chips convo with you!
This is a late comment on this post, but I wanted to place it here since you mention filling in at the WaPo. I had saved your recipe for turkey meatloaf with sweet potatoes from the Washington Post last year, and I finally made it last night. It’s just delicious! My husband and I loved every bite. I was thinking about the leftovers when I woke up this morning. Thank you for yet another glorious recipe, Julia! ❤️
Missed you in LA!!!!! Were you here for powerlifting?
Nope, just a quick work trip!

Oh I’ll definitely try! I was actually at one in Albany but I think they all have the same menu??
