Hi friends! I have a few random bits and bobs that I thought would be fun to share today, but first…my next three live class listings are up! All info in the images below and each is linked to the class listing where you can sign up.
A portion of proceeds from each class goes to a different meaningful organization. Check out the class descriptions below to see the different orgs.

A bit of food this and that I want to share with you!

A scene from dinner at home the other week when my BFF and her kiddos were visiting — together we made homemade Caesar salad, crispy chicken cutlets in the air fryer, and penne all vodka. Plus martinis. A perfect meal!
A s’mores set-up in our backyard (fire not pictured). A perfect dessert if there ever was one.
I taught a Passover Brunch class the other Sunday (you can purchase the recording/class doc here if you want!), which included a beautiful citrus salad with pomegranate and honey. I ate the leftovers on yogurt and was so happy.
Two al pastor tacos supreme with rice + insanely delicious beans at Taqueria Mi Pueblito on Broadway in Kingston, NY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Using my beloved electric griddle (remember from these pancakes? and these smash burger tacos?) to make matzo brei made me so happy.
A perfect post-hike lunch at home: a toasted bagel with hummus, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper. Plus a little salami, cheese + a perfectly ripe pear. What more could I want? Nothing!
A bit of non-food this and that I want to share with you!

The view from the top of Joppenbergh that I got to see with my friend Liz and her dogs the other week.
Spring flowers at Saunderskill!
A beautiful bouquet from our neighbors.
I may no longer be cooking every Monday at
(see here), but I filled in this week and really got a kick out of making these tape labels for small containers of hot sauce we included in one of the containers.
Okay friends. Have a safe and lovely weekend. Maybe see you in class on Sunday?? xoxooxoxoxo Julia
May I just say that I love it when you describe your meals as "makes me happy"? And I love seeing all of the "ordinary" meals that you post, which feel so accessible. Thank you for being a bright and steady light in a world that often seems dark and chaotic.
I’d love to know more about your air fryer chicken cutlets! Do you brown them first in a pan, or just cook them completely in the air fryer?
