Hi pals,
I spent last Friday at my niece’s school as a visiting author. It was such a joy to meet with so many students, from third graders (her class) all the way up to a group of high school students in a business and entrepreneurship course. With the youngest kids, I taught them how to write their own recipes and then we assembled theirs to make class cookbooks. The teenagers had such great questions and curiosity. Before lunch, I answered rapid fire questions at an assembly with the entire middle school. What a day!
For today’s newsletter, I wanted to treat it a bit as a community assembly and share a variety of announcements with you all. I’ll be back next week with some Thanksgiving encouragement, etc.
NEWSLETTER UPDATES
I LOVE LUNCH: I started this newsletter in April 2022 on a bit of a whim. Now more than two-and-a-half years and nearly 150 posts later, I’m so pleased to have recently introduced some more writing and have been so enjoying visiting your inbox twice a week. If you’re new here, Tuesdays are “I Love Lunch” which are devoted to my love of lunch and include a weekly easy lunch recipe for paid subscribers. Thursdays are my general newsletter which include a range of things from charts, lists, essays, interviews, announcements and more.
EASIER TO FIND STUFF: In realizing how many posts I’ve written, I thought it would be great for all of us (myself included!) to make it easier to find older posts. I’ve gone through every post and tagged every I Love Lunch post, each post that includes a chart, all of the recipes, and each post that includes a helpful list of something. You can now search by these categories at the top of the main page (see image below). Note that this works best on a computer, not a phone.
Here are all the categories linked for you:
I will continue to tag upcoming posts so these categories stay up to date!
