just a quick note about class this weekend...
+ all of my November classes
No big newsletter this week but I wanted to let you know I’ve decided to make my class for this weekend a fundraiser for World Central Kitchen.
WCK consistently does incredibly impactful on-the-ground work across the world wherever help is needed. They’re currently in Gaza and Israel feeding people who are caught in the middle of this war and brutal humanitarian crisis. You can read more about what they’re doing here, which includes partnering with Anera, an organization in Gaza, to to distribute food to innocent Palestinian civilians seeking safety. They are also working to feed displaced families in Israel and setting up in bordering countries to help refugees.
If you want to come cook with me on Sunday, know your money will be going to WCK. If you want to come enjoy the communal experience of cooking together but money is an issue, just drop me a line (you can reply to this newsletter) and I’ll sign you up.
No, online cooking classes definitely don’t create world peace, but they help remind me of how connected we all are and how healing it can be to come together to do something with our hands.
Here’s more about this weekend’s class:
Sunday Oct. 22nd at 2p EST: Join me to make a colorful, festive brunch featuring refreshing (and easy!) Hibiscus Spritzers, incredible Chilaquiles with Roasted Tomato Salsa, and adorable Limey Mango + Yogurt Cups. Learning to make the chilaquiles is also learning to make great homemade salsa and crispy tortilla chips (plus it’s a lesson in frying at home). As always, tons of tips, tricks, and laughs along the way! »»»» SIGN UP HERE!! ««««
