Teaching my classes has made me think about some of my favorite teachers. If you’d like a chance to win a FIVE PACK OF CLASSES to use for my online classes (that’s a $185 value), please tell me about your favorite teacher in the comments by this Sunday evening (March 19th at 9p EST will be the cutoff) and I will choose one commenter at random to win the five pack. I’ll be in touch directly to let you know if you’re the winner.
I can’t wait to hear about your teachers!
Okay, that’s all for today. Hope to see you in class soon. And, as always, if you’d like to attend class and the cost is a barrier, just let me know and we’ll get you sorted out. xoxoox Julia
Sometimes I think my therapist Patty and my Pilates teacher Lee are secretly working together because things that I'm working on emotionally in therapy often end up having some sort of parallel when I'm working on my body in Pilates. One I'll never forget - "when a muscle feels like it needs to be stretched, what it might actually need is to be supported."
When I was in 5th grade, I suddenly found myself without very many friends after a weird friend breakup moment. My 5th grade teacher let me as many books by myself as I wanted, encouraged me to read new ones that I came to love, and also found ways for me to engage with the class that didn't feel too stressful. She really saw me without making me feel singled out and made fifth grade a year of fond memories despite all the social drama.
