Hi all!
Starting this coming weekend, my classes are back in session! (Side note: I can’t believe this Sunday is the beginning of September. I feel like I just announced my classes were going on summer break!?)
“But Julia,” you might ask, “isn’t this weekend a holiday weekend?” It sure is! But I can’t imagine anything I’d like to do more than get back in the kitchen with everyone!
So without further ado, below is my September lineup and here are some friendly reminders about my classes.
If you sign up for class, whether or not you attend live you’ll receive a recording of class the same day. So if you’re interested and not sure if you can join live, don’t hesitate!
Want to attend class but $ is a barrier? Just email me and we’ll sort it out.
Have a topic/recipe/etc. you’d like me to cover in class? Just let me know!
All classes are on Sundays and start at 2pm EST!

Sunday September 22: NO JUDGMENT!
The goal of ‘No Judgment’ classes is to repair + improve our relationships to our bodies and the food we cook and eat. For this installment, we'll talk about revisiting and embracing childhood comfort foods. And we'll make mine! Sliding scale from $0 to whatever you want.
A bit more about these classes: Whether you come because you’re recovering from an eating disorder, dismantling body image issues, or something else entirely, these classes will provide the joy of cooking in community and a supportive atmosphere to eat together without judgment. When you sign up for class, you’ll receive recipes + a grocery list. Class will begin with step-by-step cooking instruction and will be followed by time to eat together while we all talk + share resources. To create a safe, supportive environment, discussion of weight loss/dieting techniques will be strictly prohibited.

Sunday September 29: KIDS COOKING HOUR!
I have loved to cook since I was a little kid. Feeling empowered in the kitchen has made a big difference in my life. I hope to share this feeling with young cooks in this special Kids Cooking Hour! For this class, we’ll be making:
Tuna Melt Sandwiches
Peanut Butter Cookies
Depending on age, experience + kitchen confidence, an adult might be needed to help (grocery shopping, turning on the oven, etc.). We will walk through every single step slowly and answer questions. This is going to be FUN!!!!!

And before I let you go, my latest podcast is out and it’s with the wonderful Elazar Sontag! We talked about how powerlifting makes us feel in our bodies and how we think about the intersections of lifting weights and queerness, food, and more. It’s such a wonderful conversation and I hope you enjoy it! Listen wherever you listen to podcasts including right here!!
Have a safe and fun holiday weekend! xooxoxox Julia
