broccoli + pork with soy + hot honey
a.k.a. what I made yesterday for lunch!!
About two months ago I joined HolmGoods, the meat + dairy CSA from Chaseholm Farm, a third generation farm in Pine Plains, NY. I have a small share which means every two weeks I pick up a variety of beef, pork and/or dairy, which has been feeling like the right amount for our household. It’s been feeling good to know the people who raise these animals and to know how the animals and land are treated. This is not an ad! I have just always really admired this farm (especially because they host epic ‘Dairy Drag’ nights!) and the CSA has been a good way to support it and benefit from it, too.
I have been trying to cook the meat I bring home with as many vegetables as possible because (a) I love vegetables (b) it stretches out the high quality meat into more meals (c) color! (d) fiber! (e) it’s easier to make one dish rather than two.
Which is all to say, yesterday I took a pound of ground pork from Chaseholm and turned it into a very delicious, very fast lunch and immediately wrote down what I did so I could share it with you.
The recipe for this Broccoli + Pork with Soy + Hot Honey is below for paid subscribers plus notes if you:
