Dear Julia...
From Dana: “Hi Julia- I always make a cheese plate for an appetizer when I have friends over for dinner, but what app do you suggest for my dairy free guests?”
Hi Dana!
Here are some ideas…
dips with crackers/vegetables/chips (anything non-dairy like hummus, baba ganoush or muhammara)
small meatballs on toothpicks (yum!)
spiced nuts
deviled eggs made with vegan mayo
sliced salami or proscuitto with melon
potato chips! just a big bowl of potato chips!
guacamole + great tortilla chips
dumplings!
pan con tomate / sliced jamón / olives
Okay, that’s it. Take care everyone. Hope to see you in a class soon. And of course I’ll definitely see you back here next week! xooxox

Thank you Julia- this truly expands my can do list of apps. I love a good potato chip- and also enjoy root chips and sweet potato chips. 🙏🙏
Yummmmm to all those app ideas!
I'm not df but do have lactose intolerance. For me, if milk has been cultured -- aged cheeses, live cultured yogurt, situations where bacteria has already digested the lactose for me -- I can eat it just fine. I say that to advocate for everyone asking your lactose friends, hey do you eat cheese? Things will be different for everyone!
